Independent intermediaries

One to five people. You don't need a twelve-month project.

Broker systems in Portugal were designed for large brokerages, and some still need a working local network. If you're an independent intermediary, your problem isn't a shortage of modules — it's that the book lives in a spreadsheet, the renewals live in your head, and checking statements costs an afternoon a month.

If this sounds familiar

  • The book is in Excel, and the real version is the one on your laptop.
  • Renewals are remembered, not listed.
  • Commission checking happens when there's time — which means sometimes not.
  • The systems you've looked at are expensive, heavy, or need installing.

What Amparo does in this case

Nothing to install

It's a web application. No server, no local network, no client to configure per workstation — unlike some of the competition still in use in the Portuguese market.

The book in one place

Policies, receipts, commissions and claims linked together, filterable by line of business, insurer and client. Each line shows the fields that make sense: a registration for motor, payroll for workers' compensation.

Renewals listed by urgency

With the premium at risk beside them. One forgotten renewal costs more than any software.

The same reconciliation

Statement reading isn't an upsell for large customers. It's the same engine with the same checking — and on a small book a hundred-euro difference matters more, not less.

How it runs

  1. 01
    Bring the spreadsheet

Exported as CSV or PDF. It gets read, not retyped.

  2. 02
    Confirm what isn't clear

Doubtful lines come up for review, with the original text beside them.

  3. 03
    See the renewals

For the first time, as a list.

  4. 04
    Reconcile the month

Upload the statements and work only the exceptions.

What Amparo doesn't do for you

  • There's no public pricing and no self-service signup; onboarding is hands-on.
  • Full data export isn't built yet.
  • There's no manual policy creation or editing in the app — for now policies arrive by document reading.

We say this on the product page because finding it out in the third meeting is worse for both of us.

Questions

There's no public pricing yet. We're working with our first brokerage and building from what they find — publishing a price list before that would be inventing a number. Talk to the team and we'll discuss your case concretely.

Bring a month of statements. We'll compare against your system.

If we don't find differences that justify the cost, you'll know that in a week — without spending a project to find out.
